Custom Metric creation for use within the screener and other tools within the platform
Under Consideration
Requested by Patrick Choquette (Raymond James - 1 seat)
He basically wants the ability to create custom metrics/ratios to be used in the screener. I.e. divide Metric A by Metric B and populate a value based off of it. Very similar to the ratio tool in fundamental charts, just wants to be able to screen on the custom metric/ratio.
This is a significant project.. Don't see this happening anytime soon. Please continue to collect feedback / requests.

just requested by victor moy for econ indiccators (pro client). was wanting to use arithmetic inside ratio/spread/correlation but the ability to just create a custom econ metric would solve that problem here and elsewhere.

Requested by tmartin@seeautonomy.com. Basically, they want the same functionality where if they add in a custom arithmetic filter, they wanted to see the value as a column in the screener.

KG, Is this request to plot the values calculated from a custom metric or to create and save custom metrics throughout the system?

Caleb - I see it in two parts.
1) The ability to create a custom metric for use throughout the system (Mostly within screener and comp tables). I.e. Divide 'metric a' by 'metric b' that results in the 'custom metric'.
2) The ability to screen or create a filter based on the custom metric. Let's say after step one, we'd like to apply a filter to capture any/all results that are less than .5 (Using the custom metric or ratio).
May be a bit confusing in text. Happy to chat about it if need be.
